Root Canal Therapies

When the decay is so extensive that the infection reaches the nerve, you may experience throbbing pain and sensitivity. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

When a tooth has decayed so much that it is nonrestorable, it should be removed to prevent oral complications.

Simple Tooth Extractions

When a tooth is deemed nonrestorable, it is recommended to be taken out as soon as possible to prevent further damage to the rest of the teeth. When the majority of the tooth structure is still there and fully erupted, that tooth can be easily elevated out after local anesthetics is given.

Surgical Tooth Extractions

Surgical tooth extractions require a dental handpiece to section out the tooth and remove the tooth in pieces. This procedure is usually indicated in complex cases where the tooth will most likely crumble during the process. Nitrous oxide are available for patient’s comfort. Our in-office skilled surgeon will be there to assist the patient throughout the procedure.

Wisdom Teeth Extractions

Wisdom teeth are often hard to reach and cared for. They are recommended to be taken out since they usually end up with decay and cause problems in the future. Talk to our dentist to see if your wisdom teeth will cause problems for you!

Root tip extractions

Often times, the crown portion of the tooth is broken off and there is still the root embedded in the gum. Leaving root tips inside your gum will cause oral diseases and could place you at risk for oral infections. Talk to your dentist today if you think you still have root tips inside your gums.

Oral Pathologies

Our dentist will evaluate and screen for abnormalities and oral cancer at every checkup. Any suspicious area will be biopsied with your permission to be sent for evaluation with our specialist.

Bone Grafts

When a tooth is removed, your jaw bone will rearrange and you may end up with decreased bone level. This could expose the root surfaces of adjacent teeth and cause severe sensitivity. Bone graft is recommended after certain extractions to preserve bone level for implants. Adequate bone level will increase prognosis of future dental implants and reduce changes of sensitivity due to root exposure of adjacent teeth.
